The month of November has already blessed us with @rosalia.vt new album and Frankenstein. When the video for Berghain dropped, I felt a wave of nostalgia for the art of iconic music videos that seemed to fade away in the early 2000s. Then came this cinematic gem — Rosalia visiting a jeweller to fix her love locket, dressed in vintage McQueen, conversing with @bjork disguised as a robin — a perfect nod to my own early influences.
The broken locket as a symbol really struck me. Themes of memory, history, and ritual often echo through my work, so I’ve gathered a few images from my archives featuring hearts ❤️‍🔥
